Welcome to my website! As a retired principal and teacher of 35 years, I have started an Intervention and Tutoring Program structured differently than any other program available.

Here is how it works...

I will go into your child's school, with the administration's permission, and do a number of classroom observations, and then collaborate with the teacher regarding any academic areas that are a challenge to your child. This interaction enables me to design an intervention and tutoring program dovetailed to meet your child's specific academic needs with the teacher's

valuable input.

Through assessment, data analysis, and teacher collaboration, I will be able to coach your child in a way that best serves each individual.



In conferencing with your child's teacher(s) we become a team as we discern your child's challenges on a weekly basis.


My in-class observations (with the teacher's and school admin approval) help me to zero in on potential road blocks that may affect student’s understanding as I collaborate with the teacher.


Difficulties in grasping basic concepts from a child's perspective may vary from one day to the next, and as the subject matter becomes more complex a child becomes overwhelmed and discouraged, thereby presenting a barrier to success. In my real time observations I am able to pick up on these subtleties and individualize my approach to remediation prior to my one on one sessions with the child.





How can the one-on-one intervention piece of my program benefit the parent?

I will insure a positive partnership within the home.



My personal telephone number will be provided to parents to respond to your questions or concerns.


I will meet with parents to go over strategies taught to assist them with oversight of homework.


Evening phone calls welcome for “emergency-type” ☹ homework questions.



4. I am also willing to assist with special projects, book reports, and any long term assignments.
